My way of living the Paleo lifestyle is all about being flexible and realistic. Life can be unpredictable, and I’m not 100% Paleo all the time—more like 99%. And that’s okay! I try to focus on balance by adding Paleo ideas into most of my meals without worrying too much about small exceptions.
The health benefits I’ve seen are amazing. My allergic reactions have gotten better, and I feel like my digestion, energy, and even my thinking are all improved. It’s incredible how eating clean foods can help us feel better in so many ways.
Meal planning has really helped me. I don’t cook every day; I often use leftovers. For example, I might roast a whole chicken and eat it for three days in a row! I love using the chicken for lettuce wraps; it’s so easy and delicious. My favorite recipes are simple, hearty, and full of flavor. I also enjoy grilled chicken with roasted veggies, beef stir-fry with colorful peppers, or a big leafy salad topped with nuts and avocado. These meals are easy to make, taste great, and keep me feeling good all day long.
For anyone thinking about trying the Paleo lifestyle, my advice is to start slowly. Begin by cutting out one non-Paleo food group at a time and see how your body feels. Try out some Paleo-friendly recipes and discover what you enjoy. Remember, it’s about creating a way of eating that helps you be healthy and feel great, even if you’re not 100% perfect.
I really enjoyed reading your Paleo story! It’s inspiring to see how making the switch has positively impacted your health and lifestyle.
I’ve been thinking about trying Paleo myself, and hearing about your journey gives me that extra push to give it a go. The energy boost and clarity you mentioned are exactly what I’m hoping to achieve.
Have you found it challenging to stick with Paleo long-term? I’d love to hear any tips you might have for staying committed!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled to hear that my Paleo story has inspired you. Making the switch was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and lifestyle. The energy boost and mental clarity have been incredible.
As for sticking with Paleo long-term, I won’t lie—it can be challenging, especially when so much of the food in stores isn’t Paleo-friendly. Sometimes it feels like 85% of what I see on the shelves is off-limits! But I’ve found that planning ahead and focusing on the foods I can enjoy helps a lot. Also, finding creative ways to make my favorite dishes Paleo has kept things interesting and satisfying.
If you decide to give Paleo a try, just remember to be patient with yourself and take it one meal at a time. I’m here if you need any more tips or support along the way!

I love this! I am so happy to read that your life has improved so much by going mostly-Paleo. I think one of the best parts of this is that you are keeping it realistic. You don’t beat yourself up if you splurge on non-Paleo and just try to keep doing Paleo.
One of my good friends was born with RA(rheumatoid Arthritis) and she takes this approach to eating a mostly-Paleo diet. When she does splurge, she can feel the difference for the next several days. She says that it is pretty easy to stick to, but she just has her husband who eats like her.
I would love to include more mostly-Paleo meals into my lifestyle, but I have a very “meat & potatoes” husband as well as a 17yo and 5yo. Is there any recipe or meal you could suggest for a family with varied food appeals?
Thanks 🙂

Hi Angela,
I’m so glad you enjoyed reading about my mostly-Paleo journey! I find it important to keep things realistic. I eat one potato a day and, when I splurge on non-Paleo foods, I don’t stress about it—I just get back to eating Paleo again, sticking to it 99% of the time. For your “meat & potatoes” husband and kids with different tastes, you might try focusing on adding extra veggies and fruits to your meals. One idea is to top veggies with roasted tomatoes, which my husband loves. He eats various foods like grains or rice, and while he’s not crazy about fruits, I include them along with extra veggies so we can both enjoy our meals.
Thanks,
AJ
